Homeschooling courses for ages 4-18
Wolsey Hall Oxford has a growing number of expat students from around the world homeschooling in Qatar. They are studying a broad range of subjects across all course levels from Primary through Lower Secondary to IGCSE and A level.
Whilst traditional schooling is currently compulsory for Qatari nationals, for expats it is not obligatory.
The expat home educating community in Qatar is very active with a number of organisations such as Doha Home Educators providing support, sharing resources and organising family activities.

Meet Kaelem
Thirteen-year-old Kaelem is homeschooling in Qatar and has been studying with Wolsey Hall for over four years. He started studying Year 4 courses and is now in Year 8. Kaelem loves the flexibility that homeschooling brings him and his family.
“I left mainstream school because my family and I felt that I would be able to do better in homeschooling rather than mainstream education, mostly because of minor issues. I also think I can’t focus as well when around other people, so working by myself and at my own pace has worked out very well for me.”
