Homeschooling in Mauritius

South African student, Reine, started homeschooling in Mauritius with Wolsey Hall at age 12.

Reine’s mother Claire commented: “When we moved to Mauritius we decided to homeschool Reine via Wolsey Hall Oxford as the distance learning school affords us the freedom to move around whilst still providing a curriculum that will allow Reine to join mainstream schooling at a later point in life if she wishes to do so’

Homeschooling also allowed Reine time to pursue other interests including volunteering with riding lessons for students with autism.

We made a giant leap just over a year ago when we decided to enrol our 11 year old daughter in Year 7 with Wolsey Hall. We had no idea what to expect and were quite apprehensive. She has just started Year 8 with Wolsey Hall as we were so blown away with how her first year went. The quality of teaching is exceptional, the work is interesting and perfect in terms of quantity and variety. The system is so easy to use and everyone we deal with is lovely, knowledgable and professional. I honestly cannot find one negative and I recommend Wolsey Hall to anyone considering home schooling (it actually made me want to start my school journey again – and that’s saying something!).

Sophie Le Brozec – Homeschooling Parent

I spent the evening reflecting on everything and I individually messaged all my teachers saying everything and asking for help. Long messages writing how I really feel about the course etc. and I just really wanted to thank you so much, I have never even heard of such a kind teaching group and such understanding teachers. My old school was nothing like this, and although I can’t see you in real life I already feel so so welcome and I can tell my teachers and I connect in a way. So, thank you for supporting me, it really really means the world. For many reasons I have never really fit in my schools and I love Wolsey Hall! One of my teachers replied to my message already and it really touched me how much you want to us succeed and put no unnecessary pressure on us. I am really grateful you have no idea. Have a lovely evening and don’t worry, I’m getting my working mode on. Just wanted to say your heart for the students doesn’t go unnoticed!
