Legal requirements
Singaporean parents must apply for a Compulsory Education exemption. This will require them to provide several details including their planned curriculum. Regular progress reports are also required.
Singaporean children homeschooling in Singapore will be required to sit the Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) in four subjects (English Language, Second Language, Mathematics and Science) at Standard Level and an additional test at Primary 4.
Expatriate families do not legally have to send their children to school in Singapore.
