Lucinda Turner

For me, teaching is a passion that continues to grow with each year I work in Education. Since graduating with a degree in Primary Education, I have taught across four key stages and held various roles, including class teacher, Head of Music and Performing Arts Leader. I now divide my time between the role of Learning Support teacher in a Primary School and tutoring pupils from home.

I work with my pupils to find the teaching methods that best suit them. Watching them thrive in their learning is the most rewarding part of the job. I love learning as much as my pupils and so giving them the tools to become independent learners and achieve their next steps makes working in education a real pleasure.

I particularly enjoy supporting those pupils who may, for whatever reason, find learning in the ‘usual’ way challenging. Extending my teaching knowledge to better support them is something I thoroughly enjoy.

Away from teaching, I love cooking and baking. I spend much of my spare time walking with my two dogs in the Warwickshire countryside. I have long wished to develop my foreign language skills and so am currently learning Portuguese.

Whether teaching a class, small groups or tutoring individuals, the common theme is instilling in them a shared love of learning. Key to my tutoring role at Wolsey Hall is identifying what each child needs in order for them to move forward to the next stage of their learning. I very much look forward to assisting and guiding you in that shared journey.
