My love of Geography started at a young age, growing up in a small rural village, surrounded by the beauty of the Northern Irish countryside. The uniqueness of the Giant’s Causeway and the Mourne Mountains on my doorstep always intrigued me. They taught me to appreciate and respect the natural environment, and furthered my interest in understanding it.

Geography is a valuable subject to study. Not only does it enable you to explore a variety of ecosystems and communities from your seat, but it helps you to understand the fundamental issues facing our planet. Knowledge provides solutions. “No-one is too small to make a difference,” – Greta Thunberg. I studied Geography at The University of Edinburgh, a city which offers the best of both worlds to a Geography student, not only a host of natural phenomena, including a dormant volcano (Arthur’s Seat), but also interesting sociopolitical dynamics. I then gained my Post Graduate Certificate in Education at University College, London.

When I am not teaching, I am cycling everywhere and anywhere and studying Psychology at Queens University, Belfast. I am hoping to better understand the human mind and how we as individuals learn and think.

My experiences and passion for Geography, combined with insight from being an examiner for a UK exam board, will help you succeed with this subject, and I’m really looking forward to meeting you. Please do not hesitate to send me an email to say hello or ask any questions. I will do my best to support you in any way that I can.
